Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using AppScreenshotStudio (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the service.
2. Description of Service
AppScreenshotStudio is a web-based tool that allows users to create App Store and Play Store screenshots. Our service includes:
- A chat-based builder for generating App Store screenshot sets
- Device frames for iPhone, iPad, Android, and Apple Watch
- Screenshot generation, editing, and export
- Background generation and element customization
- Credit-based usage system
- API and MCP server access for programmatic screenshot generation
3. User Accounts
To use AppScreenshotStudio, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
- Providing accurate and current information
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
4. Subscription and Payments
AppScreenshotStudio operates on a credit-based system and subscription model:
- Credits are required to generate screenshots
- Subscription plans provide monthly credit allocations
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Fees are non-refundable except as specified in our Refund Policy and in the paragraph below
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled from your billing settings
Automatic renewals for consumers in the EU. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union and your subscription has renewed automatically, you may cancel at any time after that renewal, with at most one month's notice, even if the renewal period was longer than a month. We then refund the part of that renewed period you have not used, calculated pro rata. Time you have already used is not refunded, and periods you chose deliberately rather than through an automatic renewal are unaffected. Email us at contact@bookillustrationai.com and we will handle it.
5. Free Trial and Right of Withdrawal
The trial. New accounts start a 14-day trial. A valid payment card is required to begin it, and no charge is made when it starts. The trial includes 25 credits and full access to the builder and its editing tools. Downloading or exporting finished screenshot files is not included in the trial and unlocks when your first payment succeeds.
What happens at the end. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the plan you selected begins automatically and the card on file is charged at the price shown at checkout. We email you a reminder before this happens, together with a link to cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings, which is the same place you subscribed, and cancelling before the trial ends means no charge is made.
Ending the trial early. If you choose to start your plan immediately, for example to download your screenshots before the trial would otherwise end, your card is charged at that moment and the plan begins then.
Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you normally have 14 days from entering this agreement to withdraw from it and receive a refund, without giving a reason.
By ticking the consent box at checkout, you expressly request that we begin providing the service immediately, before that 14-day period has passed, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once we have fully performed. We treat performance as complete when you download or export screenshot files. Until you do, you keep your right of withdrawal and can exercise it by cancelling and contacting us at the address in section 13.
We confirm this agreement, including this acknowledgment, by email when your trial begins. Nothing in this section limits any right you have that cannot be waived under the consumer law of your country of residence.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use AppScreenshotStudio for any unlawful or prohibited purpose. Prohibited activities include:
- Creating screenshots for apps that violate App Store guidelines
- Generating misleading or fraudulent content
- Attempting to reverse engineer or copy our service
- Using automated tools to circumvent rate limits or abuse the service (authorized API and MCP access is permitted)
- Sharing account credentials or credits
- Uploading malicious content or viruses
7. Intellectual Property
Our service: AppScreenshotStudio and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Generated content: Screenshots and content you generate using AppScreenshotStudio may be used commercially without restriction, provided use complies with applicable laws and App Store guidelines.
Your content: You retain full ownership of all screenshots and content you create. We will not use your content for any purpose other than providing the service to you.
8. Service Availability
While we strive for high availability, AppScreenshotStudio is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or experience outages.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall AppScreenshotStudio be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or service notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
